The Technology

Every OwnitApps tool is a single, self-contained HTML file. It uses the browser's built-in storage APIs (localStorage and the File System Access API) to persist data. No server. No database. No framework that requires ongoing maintenance.

This is a deliberate architectural choice. An HTML file that runs in Chrome today will run in Chrome in ten years. There is no version lock, no cloud dependency, no infrastructure bill.
